Vaga – Plant Manager

  We are recruiting!

Our client in Zambezia is looking for a Plant Manager to join their team within the FMCG Sector.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end soy processing operations: cleaning, crushing, solvent extraction, refining, and packaging.
• Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining high efficiency and minimal downtime.
• Adapt operations to local infrastructure challenges (power fluctuations, logistics delays, etc.)
• Build and maintain relationships with local soybean farmers, cooperatives, and aggregators
• Support out grower programs and sustainable sourcing initiatives.
• Ensure consistent supply of quality soybeans despite seasonal variations
• Manage plant budget, operational costs, and margins.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in agro-processing, edible oils, or food manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing operations in Africa (preferably Southern or East Africa).
• Strong knowledge of soybean processing (crushing, solvent extraction, refining).
• Experience working in remote or developing regions with infrastructure constraints.
• Fluency in English required; Portuguese is a strong advantage.
