Our client in Cabo Delgado is looking for Appointed Person to join their team within the Mining Sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and approve all lifting plans (routine, critical, and complex lifts)
- Conduct risk-lifting assessments and ensure proper control measures are in place
- Ensure selection of appropriate cranes, rigging equipment, and lifting accessories
- Verify load weights, lifting points, and stability calculation
- Authorize all lifting operations before execution
- Ensure compliance with approved lifting plans and procedures
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Construction / Civil Engineering (preferred)
- Appointed Person Lifting Operations Certification (mandatory)
- Rigging & Lifting Certification
- HSE / Safety Management Training (advantageous
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in lifting operations in construction or mining
- Proven experience as Appointed Person or Senior Lifting Supervisor
- Experience with heavy lifts, cranes, and complex rigging operations
