Vaga – Mine Planning Engineer

Our client in Mine Planning Engineer is looking for a Plant Manager to join their team within the Mining Sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Life-of-Mine plans in line with company objectives.
• Perform pit optimization, design scenarios, and long-range production scheduling.
• Collaborate with geology teams to support resource and reserve planning.
• Provide input into long-term capital planning including equipment and infrastructure requirements.
• Produce rolling production plans based on operational targets.
• Optimize material handling, haulage systems, and waste dumping sequences.
• Track and adjust medium-term plans based on operational performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years in open-pit mine planning.
• At least 3 years in a senior or supervisory position.
• Experience in large-scale mining operations (10–20 Mtpa preferred).
• Proven involvement in Life-of-Mine and production planning.
