Job Advert Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Drive for a light motor vehicle to deliver products or materials to and from specified destinations. Performs related administrative tasks and may collect payment for goods or delivery charges. Off-loading of goods at customers. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties and responsibilities below for further information.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To fetch and deliver packages or merchandise as and when required by the company.
• To assist the operation by moving identified parcels.
• To respond to general requirements from the Depots Operations whenever there is a need for a light vehicle driver.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10.
• Code 08 drivers with endorsements.
• Must have 3 years experience in articulated driving in a similar environment.
• Advanced driving training (advantageous).
• Must have a clean criminal record.
• Reporting procedure of emergencies and defects.
• Maximum vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Driver actions into weather/road/traffic conditions.
• Function and Location of vehicle components.
• Procedure to release cargo from airlines.
• Must be prepared to work weekends and on public holidays.
