Good Neighbours Mozambique is looking for a Human Resource Officer to be based in Maputo Province.

DESCRIPTION

Job Title:Human Resource Officer

Reporting directly to:ADManager

Location: Maputo

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Wage processing;

Processing and payment of taxes (IRPS and INSS);

Elaboration of the vacation plan and control of the same;

Preparation of letters and declarations of letters for interested institutions;

Preparation of addenda, renewal of temporary contracts;

Organization of the individual processes of new employees;

Updating of existing individual processes;

Support in the interpretation of the labor law whenever requested;

Provide information necessary for decision-making regarding personnel whenever requested;

Enrollment of employees in the INSS;

Preparation and submission of the nominal list;

Support in the processing and renewal of documents for expatriate workers.

Recruitment and selection:

  • Preparation and publication of job advertisements;
  • Pre-Selection of CV’s;
  • Scheduling of interviews (virtual or in person);
  • Organize the logistics of the interviews;
  • Candidate interview;
  • Give feedback to candidates;
  • Drafting contracts for new employees;
  • Induction of new employees.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Management or similar

Fluency in English, Portuguese (both spoken and written)

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL

Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)

Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures

Proficient in MS Office

Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude

Strong ethics and reliability

Innovative, and creative thinking and mentality in problem solving

Age Between 18 to 35 years’ old

Experience Required:

  • One year of proven experience as HR officer, administratoror other HR position
  • Experience in working in NGO is high preferable

Any Other Special Requirements:

  • Knowledge of computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Power-point present
